PERSONAL NOTEBOOK
Site updates
v0.5 · Personal homepage and redesignv0.5 · 7 November 2026
- Rebuilt the top of the homepage as a personal introduction: name, role, short bio, interests and contact links, visible at every screen width.
- Redesigned the site: self-hosted Source Serif 4 and Inter, higher link contrast, whole-card click targets, a shorter banner, consistent panels, tables and buttons, and a readable line length in articles.
- Added the Embodied RSI research review in English and Chinese.
- Recorded the executed 3DGS lab with three actual Unity views, a Chinese version, and restored background on Gaussian properties, the slide deck and the original tools.
- Rechecked HW2 primary sources and updated the HCI course and lab status.
- Removed two old redirect files that could replace the Coursework and HCI pages with a redirect to themselves.
v0.4 · 4 October 2026
- Added the completed Station Rescue: M-07 A1.0 project, with actual Windows screenshots, a downloadable game and public source.
- Added a separate Unity 101 final-project journal connecting requirements, development, validation and the open-airlock post-mortem.
- Added authored Chinese equivalents and exact language switching for both new pages, plus illustrated entries in Projects, Coursework and the homepage.
- Updated the older Unity setup journal to link its later first-project verification. The 3DGS exercise keeps its own progress record.
- Preserved the pre-change local source and build, and prepared the generated website for manual GitHub Desktop publication.
v0.3 · 3 October 2026
- Added five illustrated readings: two papers, a vendor report and two firsthand accounts, with five credited original illustrations.
- Compared how the authors build an argument from task walkthroughs, observed behaviour, linked records, session logs and design work.
- Updated the Codex and Claude articles to revision 2, adding related work and original examples. The method now explicitly supports source reviews, interface readings and firsthand observation.
- Added a featured readings card, a direct blog entry, course links and an equivalent Chinese article.
- Preserved v0.2 as an earlier local snapshot. Public deployment remains a separate step.
v0.2 · 3 October 2026
- Added HCI Observatory, a study plan and two illustrated research drafts on Codex and Claude.
- Added a prominent homepage entry, a featured blog entry and a course navigation entry alongside homework and labs.
- Added authored Chinese versions of the homepage, About, Projects, Blog, course overview, Observatory and both studies. The top-right language control keeps the equivalent page when a translation exists.
- Added dated image provenance, separate evidence labels and proposed usability tests.
- Saved a local source-and-build snapshot before the change. The updated revision is also retained as a recoverable snapshot after verification.
This entry describes the local website revision. Public deployment is a separate step.
The earlier baseline
The previous local website had the personal homepage, course work and the first combined interaction critique. A snapshot preserves that state before the Observatory and Chinese pages were added. Existing older backups remain available locally.
Two different kinds of version
Website revision records navigation, presentation and language changes. Visitors use the current site; older site copies do not need to compete for space in the main menu.
Research revision records a product interface baseline and changes to an article’s evidence. Those dates appear in the article itself. A later product update does not erase an earlier observation.
The original coursework remains in English. When a page has no Chinese translation, the language control explains that it opens the Chinese section index instead.
